The presented texts were prepared and collected by late Dr. Anncharlott Eschmann. Most of them are translated by a certain Aniruddha Das, a former IAS director. Though they remain problematic regarding their correctness and style we decided to present them to larger web public since they could be used if one needs to get a idea of what Mahima Dharma is about. One should note that it is the absence of reliable translations and scientific editions of Bhima Bhoi's works that guided us to take up the project of preparing an anthology of Bhima Bhoi most important poetic creations. In our project we opted for a rigorous scientific editing of existing manuscripts as well as for the translation of the most important texts. As soon as our anthology is published we wish to replace the often poorly translated texts. However, at this very moment of time the sources provided here provide a first approach into the world of Mahima Dharma. I would like to express our thanks to the Bhima Bhoi Samadhi Pitha Trust in Khaliapali and especially to Prafula Das and Sadananda Agrawal for supporting our research. It was through their assistance that we could have a closer look on the manuscripts and that we could take photographs.
